The local currency is the peso (AR$), 1 AR$ = 100 centavos.
Credit cards (especially VISA and Master Card) are accepted at most stores.
Foreing cash (dollars and euros) can be changed at banks and exchange houses.
Several ATM (Banelco and Link, corresponding to differents banks) are available throughout the city, mainly in the downtown. In each extraction of money with foreign cards, the banks charge a commission of approximately 10 dollars.
Banknotes Chart - Current IssuesThe standard is 220 V 50 Hz and the power sockets are type-I. Some places have dual power socket type I and C. A few places still have power socket type-C plugs. We recommend bringing adapters to power socket type-I.
